The Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World; French: La Liberte eclairant le monde) is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor in New York City, in the United States. The statue, designed by Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, a French sculptor and dedicated on October 28, 1886, was a gift to the United States from the people of France. Bartholdi was inspired by French law professor and politician Edouard Rene de Laboulaye, who is said to have commented in 1865 that any monument raised to American independence would properly be a joint project of the French and American p...

About HELGE Art Gallery

HELGE Art Gallery

All is art. Art is all. HELGE is a France based creator. His work stands out for a simple language, demonstrating great ingenuity and imagination. HELGE covers a variety of subjects from cult movies, geek art, books and travels. "My artworks speak about me better than words can. They define me and paint my portrait better than any photo ever will. But, in short I am a visual creator, with multiple artistic interests that lead to a high variety of styles in my portfolio. Like most of us, I am often fascinated with scifi and citys. We all need heroes and villains, people to admire and characters to despise. I love the pop art 60s style feel, the grunge theme and the elegance of typography blended with famous symbols. As you can see, I...
